For once, I'll be somewhat parochial, but of all the experiences can be learned elsewhere. Almeria was yesterday an outcry against the negotiation with ETA and demanding the truth about 11-M attacks. The concentrations were convened in Spain but, except in the case of Murcia and Santander elsewhere have been so massive.
Why this success precisely in Almeria? Obviously the organizational efforts of the "black pawns" that abound in this land was Titanic, and effectively planned, but do not believe that other cities have been spared the task of disclosure.
Without detracting from other tests, as I would like to focus is in the attitude of the first (and only) opposition party. Although not expected, there appeared the Mayor of the city, the provincial president, a senator and several councilors. I've never publicly praised in any politician, and say this gives me a flush, but I want to publicly acknowledge their presence and encouragement (not otherwise, but which is not little) they gave us.
Of course, the remarkable thing is not the act itself but the context in which it operates. In a social media environment and not hostile and aggressive but, what most unpopular issue that the maligned "conspiracy theories." The warmth at the national level became committed involvement in local level. That sets an example. That the principles take precedence over the electoral marketing misunderstood. That the strength of the convictions are imposed on opportunism. In short, the politicians to commit to the demands of their social base.
