To mark the bicentennial of the War of Independence and the events held in the city of Leon on April 24, 1808, various events have been organized by ComunidadLeonesa.ES to which we invite you to attend to both you and the members of your respective associations.
The complete program is as follows:
April 23 - At 21 pm - Historical Tour organized and coordinated by Hermenegildo Lopez, Secretary of ComunidadLeonesa.ES and Professor of Modern Languages, with the following stops and interventions:
Piazza San Marco - Arsenio García Fuertes - "Voluntarios de León"
Plaza Mayor - Alejandro Valdez Alonso - "Lion in the War of Independence" Corral de San Guisán
- María Jesús García Armesto - "The day of June 7, 1808 and Corral de San Guisán"
Plaza de San Isidoro - Hermenegildo González López - "The Real Basilica and the Napoleonic troops"
Atmosphere by the Group of Professors and Students at the School of Music who will perform vintage items.
April 24 - At 11:30 hours - Tribute to Heroes Leoneses
is the tribute that we organized for the third consecutive year since our constitution to be held as follows: Concentration

, from this year, will continue through the C / Ancha, Plaza de la Catedral and C / Mariano Dominguez Berrueta to the Plaza Mayor where you will place a wreath at the plaque for the purpose, to honor the heroes and decide a speech from the balcony of the Consistory.
Then all who wish may dance to our traditional music.
This year, upon completion of the second anniversary of the events of April 24, the ComunidadLeonesa.ES parade organized by the City Council will join in corporation with the royal banner, accompanied by the Banda Municipal de Música.
April 24 - At 17.30 hours - First Memorial "Kingdom of Leon" Leon
Organized by the Provincial Association of Anti Leon, will be held in the Plaza Mayor and be entertained by the Group
